Panama to raze ex-dictator’s mansion, build park

Panamanian President Ricardo Martinelli says a mansion once owned by former dictator Manuel Noriega will be knocked down to make way for a park since the government hasn’t found any buyers.

What was old was made new, and then old again, on Chestnut Hill College’s Sugarloaf campus.
The Commonwealth Chateau, which was dedicated last month after $6 million in renovations, has been restored to its original look.

The Post reports that the 41-foot-wide townhouse, which has already been on the market for two months at $32.2 million, is now taking bids and will be sold at auction.
