Many of Dennis Bolze’s investors saw their money disappear, so perhaps it’s not surprising that a planned sale of the convicted Ponzi schemer’s home has vanished like so much Smoky Mountains mist.
In May, the mountaintop home that was built for Bolze was auctioned for $1.93 million in a foreclosure sale at the Gatlinburg Convention Center. At the time, the winning bidder was identified as Gary Spiezio, a Gatlinburg-area real estate man.
