Penrith Castle Park lottery bid on ice | News & Star

A £2.5 million bid to improve Penrith’s Castle Park has been put on ice by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

The charity fund group turned down plans that would have made the playground and obstacle golf course bigger, refurbished the Memorial Gate and Black Angel War Memorial and build a car park.

Castle on a hill | TNS – The News on Sunday

It was March 2014, when out of nowhere this castle’s photo appeared in my Facebook’s Newsfeed. I don’t remember searching for castles on Google, but there it was. Maybe it was a sign for me, that what I was seeking, was seeking me as well as Rumi had said.

I was going to visit my sister who lives in Hamburg that year. Taking consideration of Rumi’s insightful quote, I made it a point to visit Neuschwanstein Castle, located on a hill above the village of Hohenschwangau near… (View original article)

Claudia Schiffer—member of the original supermodel club, iconic Guess? girl, magazine-cover star times a thousand, and savvy businesswoman—is well versed at navigating runways.
