Mark from YouTube channel Abandoned Scotland shared video of the drone flight, which he used to map out the Cambusnethan House in North Lanarkshire.

A mild and gentle rain had just begun. Through a narrow gap in a thick hedge hiding the river Garonne, I saw two elderly men fishing. I found a way to reach them.
I asked about fishing, then about living in their enchanting region of Bordeaux in southwest France. They described lives barely touched by time. Lives that follow the slow seasonal rhythm of the vineyards with the same ancestral predictability as the river current is regulated by the tides of the distant Atlantic Ocean.

Google creates virtual tours of Loire Valley chateaux

Google has signed up with 18 Loire Valley chateaux to create virtual tours of the former royal dwellings.
“Not everyone is fortunate enough to be able to travel to the Loire Valley to see these wonders with their own eyes,” the Internet giant’s Paris-based cultural institute said in a statement on Tuesday.

Heritage expert Jon Charlton has been handed the job of driving forward plans to bring a 14th Century landmark building back into community use.
The aim of the community-led project is to bring Hylton Castle in Sunderland, its grounds and adjacent dene back to life as an asset for local people and as a visitor attraction.
