Iconic Scottish castle steps up security | UK | News | Express.co.uk

Security has been stepped up at Eilean Donan Castle, at Dornie near Kyle of Lochalsh in Wester Ross.

The castle, which attracts thousands of visitors every year and  features in a number of movies, sits on a small island and is reached by a stone bridge linking it to the main road.

Visitors are being asked to leave any backpacks or rucksacks behind as they will not be permitted to enter the castle while wearing them.
