BBC News – Denbigh Castle set for £600,000 visitor centre

Denbigh Castle is to undergo a £600,000 revamp, including a new visitor centre.

The custodian, Welsh heritage body Cadw, wants to maximise the visitor potential of the 13th Century castle, which overlooks the Denbighshire town.

It also plans to open up more of the historic walls around Denbigh, giving access to walkers, and providing guided tours.

Thanks for sharing it. It seems like “back to the past” I remember we had a refrigerator like this, in the last century when I was a kid. Next time in LA, will try to stay there, it would be fun.

I have stayed in the bungalows, and they are incredibly wonderful, as is the hotel. Definitely one of my faves.

‘Drums Along the Mohawk’ to be screened at Gelston Castle – Herkimer, NY – The Telegram

A history film series will be held at Gelston Castle Estate, 980 Robinson Rd.

On Wednesday, June 29, at 7 p.m. the film “Drums Along the Mohawk” will be screened on the grounds. The movie stars Henry Fonda, a descendant of Jelles Fonda, a patriot during the American Revolution and associated with the town of Fonda.

In Our Time Illustrations on Display at The National Museum of American Illustration

The National Museum of American Illustration, located in a 19th
century French chateau in a Rhode Island resort town, has just announced that
their latest exhibition will pair Norman Rockwell with Tom Wolfe’s
illustrations from his 1981 book In Our
Time. Like Wolfe’s writing, the ink portraits are said to be humorous and
