The $39 million sale of Alan Bond’s former Dalkeith mansion has trumped sales records for the suburb and become WA’s second most expensive house sale.

Sonnenberg Gardens & Mansion State Historic Park is hosting a photo contest from now through Oct. 14.The contest began in July and each month, a jury will select the top photographs each to be displayed in a changing display at the entrance of the Carriage House. The Bethel Cemetery is the resting place of more than 1,600 Confederate soldiers, a 40-foot Confederate monument erected in 1892, and the caretaker’s cottage from 1886, but few Knoxville residents are aware of its existence.
