Last month I finally got to do my belayed trip to the city of Odawara in Kanagawa prefecture to the south-west of Tokyo. REDLANDS – Edwards Mansion has unveiled a new logo for the historic venue designed by artist Anneli Pendley.

The logo – made using pastels on a very fine gain of sandpaper – features the historic 1890 mansion, its chapel and lawn gazebo.

Pendley met with Sue Hilcott to discuss the logo. Hilcott was hoping to include all three aspects on the logo and Pendley agreed.

Using her photos, Pendley went to work on the design.
