Ocean Colour Scene and Tony Hadley to play at Caerphilly Castle – Wales Online


Britpop veterans Ocean Colour Scene and Spandau Ballet’s Tony Hadley are both set to perform at Caerphilly Castle during the same weekend in September.

The band, famous for hits such as The Day We Caught the Train and Riverboat Song, have announced their show on September 17, which will mark the 20th anniversary of their Moseley Shoals album.

The Spandau Ballet man will then play the evening after on September 18.

‘Make East Antrim a signature tourism destination,’ MLAs demand – Carrick Times


MLAs have asked the Minister for the Economy to make East Antrim a “signature tourism project” with the Gobbins the focus of a “master plan”.

The requests were made by East Antrim DUP MLAs Gordon Lyons and David Hilditch during a Stormont adjournment debate on tourism in East Antrim on June 7.

Mr Lyons said he wanted East Antrim to experience a “resurgence” in tourism to “improve our local economy, as well as show people in the world what we have to offer.”
