Developments unveiled for historic country house | Insider Media Ltd

The historic Parc Howard museum and art gallery could be converted for use as a wedding and conference venue under new plans.

Carmarthenshire County Council has unveiled a series of proposals for the 19th century mansion house, with potential uses including a wedding and banqueting venue, conferencing suites and an outdoor marquee.

Seeing the sights of Springfield | The Chronicle Herald

It was startling to see such an important part of Halifax history sitting in the back rooms of a run-down jewelry store in Indian Orchard, Massachusetts, just outside Springfield.

The Titanic Historical Society was founded by a New Englander named Edward Kamuda who got hooked on the lore of the White Star liner after seeing the 1953 version of the movie, Titanic. Montacute House to be closed during BBC filming of Wolf Hall | Blackmore Vale Magazine

The BBC’s latest costume drama is coming to South Somerset with the filming of Hilary Mantel’s books “Wolf Hall” and “Bring up the bodies” which will mean some closures at Montacute House and Barrington Court.

The film crews chose the National Trust properties because of the authentic interiors and surroundings which match the Tudor period setting of the books.

Farm vehicle stolen from country house in Spilsby – Skegness Standard

Police are looking for a farm vehicle that was stolen from Gunby Estate, Spilsby, during the week.

A Kubota RTV900MR, registration number FX64 DPO, was stolen from Gunby Estate, Hall and Gardens between 3.30pm on Wednesday and 7.30am on Thursday.

Thieves were reported to have driven the Kubota, with serial number 72794 and engine number 4EE3876, across three fields before leaving the estate through a “secluded gate” which leads onto Gunby Lane.
