Untold organizers want to make tourists spend more time in Transylvania


The organizers of Untold, the biggest electronic music festival in Romania, have found a way of making tourists spend more time in Transylvania and visit the most famous tourist attractions in the area.

Romania’s Peles Castle closed several days for Queen Anne’s funerals


Both the Peles and Pelisor Castles in Sinaia mountain resort will be closed for several days next week for Queen Anne’s funerals.

Peles Castle will be closed to the public between August 8 and August 11. Queen Anne’s body will be placed in the castle’s Hall of Honor from August 9, 17:00 until August 10, 18:30. According to a statement from the Royal House of Romania, neither the public nor the press will be allowed in the Hall of Honor in this period.

Italian medieval castle on sale for the first time in 650 years


An 80-room Italian castle owned by the same family since the fourteenth century is set to change hands for the first time in nearly 650 years.

Castel Valer, located in the foothills of the Dolomites, was constructed over half a millennium from 1200-1700 and was acquired by the Spaur family in 1368.
