Oor Wullie marches into Black Watch Castle to celebrate links with the regiment – The Courier


An army-inspired Oor Wullie has celebrated the character’s links with the Black Watch by visiting the regimental museum in Perth.

Sudger Wullie is one of ten sculptures from Oor Wullie’s Bucket Trail, Dundee’s largest ever mass-participation public art event, which have been on a national tour of Scotland.

Medieval Mondays at Oakham Castle – Rutland and Stamford Mercury

Until August 29, visitors to Oakham Castle can take part in medieval skills workshops and drop-in activities every Monday.

In the mornings there will be archery lessons from 10.30am to midday for £25 per person, with tuition from John Steel of Red Fox Archery.
